7th & 8th Graders will begin MAP testing this week. 8th grade will start tomorrow with Science, and 7th grade will begin Wednesday with Communication Arts. It is important that your student's Ipad is fully charged each night this week. There are some sessions in which your student will need a set of headphones. If they have a plug-in set of headphones at home they would like to bring in during the 2 weeks of testing, that would be helpful. They cannot use airpods during testing. The headphones must be able to plug into the jack. Attendance is key during testing, as well as a good nights sleep. Please encourage your student to do their best on the test, and feel free to call if you have any questions.

Summer School enrollment forms are due tomorrow, April 19. Please return forms to the elementary office.

The BOGO book fair will begin on Tuesday. See the flyer for specific days and times. Stock up now for summer reading!

Reminder: There is no school tomorrow, April 15. We will see you on Tuesday. Enjoy the 4-day weekend!

We will hold our annual Title evaluation meeting tomorrow, April 13, at 4:30, in the elementary cafeteria. During this meeting we will evaluate the effectiveness of our Title programs and consider changes for next school year.

Please be checking on SIS and Schoology for your student's grade or feel free to reach out if you have any questions. All Prom guests who do not currently attend VFHS must be pre-approved by their school administrator. Guest forms are available in the office and need to be turned in no later than April 22nd.

April is Autism Acceptance Month! This month was formerly known as Autism Awarness Month. Why the name change in the past year? Awareness is being mindful that an individual has autism but acceptance is when you include them!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Join us in raising awareness of child abuse and neglect by wearing blue on Friday’s. If you suspect child abuse or neglect, report it by calling 1-800-392-3738. Additional resources and information on child safety can be found on the Department of Social Services website.
