Let's Go Indians!!

Today's the day! Join us in our cafeteria for the Student Council Blood Drive until 6:00 p.m. Check out these lifesavers! Walk-ins welcome!

My day ended in Mr. Talkington's Ag Science II class. The class was reviewing for a quiz tomorrow on plant classification. These kids know their stuff and I expect great scores on their quiz!

Coach Johnson and the Lifetime Sports kids enjoyed the beautiful morning playing soccer! Students have spent the last few weeks learning the ins and outs of soccer and as you can see are competitively putting their skills to use! Who doesn't love a PE teacher that plays with them?

Come out this evening and watch our V/JV Lady Indians take on Community R6. We will also be recognizing our senior ladies in-between the Varsity and JV games. Good luck Lady Indians!

My day ended in Algebra II will a group of upperclassmen. They were working on identify key elements of quadratic functions. I'll be brief with this post because i was thankful it was them and not me! Let's celebrate them and their mathematical greatness!

EDIT: Due to the field conditions at Wright City the game tonight will be canceled.

Mrs. Winder's English I class is gearing up to read a short story by Guy de Maupassant. Students read quotes to each other from the quotes and then wrote predictions about what they think the story is about based off the readings and conversations with peers. Next students shared their predictions with the peers in their group and formulated one group prediction to share with the class.

Community partnerships at their finest! These ladies are using their talents to better our community with support from our local United Credit Union. We have some extremely talented youth and are grateful for Ms. Dunn's support and encouragement of them!

Our Lady Indians travel to Silex this evening to take on the Lady Owls. Varsity starts at 5pm with JV to follow. Good luck ladies!

Your Junior High Lady Indians get the win tonight over the Paris Coyotes 11-2. Aggressive base running made the game extra fun to watch! Tonight I'd also like to give a shout-out to our amazing officials who wear blue for our teams and work to call a safe and fair game!

Audrain County Food Assistance

Good luck to all of our athletes that are competing this evening!

Looking forward to another great week in Van-Far Athletics!

Our Victory Flag continues to fly! We're currently celebrating Richard Hayden who was selected to the Northeast District Choir who will perform on November 4th. Richard has big goals in music including making the state choir and we'll be here cheering him on! Proud of you, Richard!

Next Friday we are also excited to welcome the Youth Football teams and cheerleaders and their families! The cheerleaders will be performing at halftime and the players and coaches will also we recognized, so make plans to be there!

Despite a loss, our fans were there cheering on the kids! Your Indians are home the next two weeks. We hope to see you next Friday when we host North Callaway!

Our Junior High students joined as members of the band and cheer squad tonight and added a ton of spirit to the night! Our band played hard through to the end and will perform tomorrow at the Prairie Days parade at 11:00 a.m. We are grateful for our student section that continues to cheer us on, right along with our amazing cheerleaders each week!
