Throughout the month of December several of our classes were focusing on giving instead of receiving. Our Christmas event on Sunday was all about giving gifts instead of receiving them. To continue this theme of giving, the staff of Van-Far Elementary had a food delivery day where we ordered lunch from a local restaurant for $10. The remaining money from everyone’s lunch was donated to Shop with a Cop. This is a wonderful organization that assists families with some Christmas gifts and also builds a mentorship between the deputies and the students. We were happy to be able to start the fundraising for Christmas 2022.

Tonight's varsity basketball games will be at home tonight and not at Silex starting at 5:30 p.m. We ask in the holiday spirit instead of paying an entry fee to attend tonight's game, please bring a non-perishable item or a children's toy to donate to the Angel Tree. Have a wonderful weekend!

Tribe, Last night the Board of Education voted to change our Return to Learn Plan. Starting immediately, the district will only exclude from school individuals who are COVID-19 positive or symptomatic. We maintain our highly recommended but optional mask use. We will continue to recommend following CDC and DHSS guidelines, including mask use for those exposed and vaccinated/symptom free along with exclusion for those exposed and unvaccinated/symptom free. Self-exclusion for documented exposure will not count against the student. Will continue to be diligent in our monitoring of symptomatic individuals. Those that are symptomatic will be sent home. Our Board Policy EBB (Communicable Diseases) covers symptomatic procedures. If you have questions please contact your school's office. Thank you, John Fortney Superintendent

Any HS student that has signed up for the Bowling activity on 12/21 must pay their $9 tomorrow by 8:00 a.m. or their spot will be released for someone else to go. Students that have not selected a spot by noon tomorrow will be assigned to a location for attendance purposes.
