Thursday Announcements

This week is National School Counselor's Week.  We are extremely lucky to have Mrs. Utterback as our counselor.  Please let Mrs. Utterback know how much we appreciate her and all she does for us at Van-Far.

This week NJHS members will be selling candy grams-suckers, sour patch conversation hearts, and smarties conversation hearts for $1.  The money will go to the American Heart Foundation.

February is American Heart Month and Black History Month. Did you know: The first open-heart surgery occurred in 1893. It was performed by Daniel Hale Williams, who was one of the few black cardiologists in the United States at the time. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.

STUCO is sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive Thursday, March 3, from 2-6 PM in the high school cafeteria.  Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: VanFarHS to schedule an appointment.

All High school boys doing track this year need to meet with Coach Pitts in the Gym tomorrow morning at 7:30 am

Any JH Boy wanting to run track please see Coach Gschwender this week.
