Friday Announcements

Beginning on Tuesday, February 16 and until further notice, Bus 6 will be running 10 minutes earlier for the morning route. Bus 9 will be running late for the afternoon route.

There will be an auction for game balls happening at half time of the Varsity Boys game. Between the 2 varsity games, we will introduce the Courtwarming Court, and at half time of the Varsity Girls game will be the Cheer/Student dance.

Students- You need to sign up for tonight's game and Monday's game at the office if you wish to attend. There are 30 seats available. You will be given a ticket to use to get into both games. Open seats will be offered to staff and community members wanting to attend. Sign up by 1:00 p.m. today so we know how many seats are available.

COURTWARMING ACTIVITIES
Courtwarming activities will begin today @2:20 (please wait for announcement) and are as follows: virtual pep assembly with the Van-Far cheer team, minute to win it, 3 pt b-ball shots, and Redskin Videos.

The Pure Freedom Presentations (Sexual Abuse presentations) for next week have been postponed. Mrs. Pafford will let us know when they have been rescheduled.

The Vandalia Family Aquatic Center is accepting applications for lifeguards for the pool for the Summer of 2021. If you like to be outside instead of inside, enjoy being around people, and want to have a tan for the summer, then this is the job for you! Applications can be picked up from City Hall, Mrs. Robinson, or Mrs. Cross and need to be returned by the end of the month. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Robinson or Mrs. Cross.

The Van-Far FFA would like to congratulate the following three students on their success at the Area V FFA Proficiency Screening. Congratulations to Cayden Caldwell for placing first with his Landscaping Management - Placement project. He will be moving on to compete at state in April. Ennis Childs placed second with his Agriculture Sales - Entrepreneurship project. Andrew Morris placed fourth with his Turf Grass Management - Entrepreneurship project. Awesome job to all three students!

Returning Hart Career Center students need to get an application from Mrs. Utterback. They are due back to her Friday, February 12th.

Josten's will deliver class rings on February 16th during the lunch period.

NJHS is selling raffle tickets for a Valentine's Basket to raise money for a local Animal Shelter. Tickets are $0.50 a piece or 3 for $1. Items in the basket are Brisk Tea, Dessert Plates, 2 Glasses, Valentine Brownies, Red Hot Funyuns, Chocolate Covered Pretzels, Stuffed Unicorn, M&Ms, Room Spray, Apple Scented Handsoap, Vanilla Candle, Spongebob Gummies, Chocolate Truffles, Devotion Book, Ring Pops, Sweet Hearts, Dum Dums, Valentine's Day Balloon, and Chocolate Hearts, and a DQ Gift Card.
